Diddy Trial Day 10: Diddy’s ex assistant Capricorn Clark gives a juicy testimony
Welcome to another recap of Diddy’s 10th day on trial
Now before we get started I wanna make it clear. Capricorn was the only person who testified on this day.
Also, Diddy’s defense team has been working long and hard to have Cudi’s testimony struck from the record.
They’re trying everything: calling it speculative, which is basically just a fancy way of saying “N*gga was you there?”
Why would they do this? It’s unclear right now. But I suspect Cudi’s testimony really messes with Diddy’s defense’s main argument. An argument that I don’t think we’ve fully heard yet in detail.
But I’d imagine the main idea floating around his defense team’s group chat is this, “We can’t show that Diddy has a pattern of harming innocent people.”
“We can’t show that Diddy outrightly forces people around him (insert Capricorn and many others) to travel to and participate in organized crimes.”
See, that would explain a lot. Because right now, Diddy’s team is always on the defense (no pun intended). They’re always waiting to hear plaintiff testimonies and once they do, they are quickly trying to shoot them all down via cross examination. It makes them look overzealous and kind of insensitive.
Side note: In case you’re curious, Cassie was reportedly taken to the hospital but don’t worry. She’s in the labor and delivery unit. Is the baby on the way? Who knows. Either way we’re wishing well.
Diving in to Capricorn’s testimony
So, Capricorn is Diddy’s old assistant. And as the story seems to go, she knew a lot, saw a lot, and as a result, is now saying a lot. So let’s set the scene.
It’s 2004. Baby Phat is sold out at every Jimmy Jazz in NYC. The word “Uber” only means “a lot of.” Cristal is still served in a bucket of ice. AND you can still get four chips for a dollar at any corner store.
Life is good. Unless you’re Capricorn. Because in 2004, you’re starting your first day working for Diddy at Bad Boy Records.
A first day so traumatic that you were taken to Central Park and had your life threatened by Diddy’s bodyguards saying that you would be killed for working for one of Diddy’s “rivals.”
That’s right. Call Marvel. Call DC Universe. You picked a side and you’ll never come back from that.
But wait it gets better. Capricorn also told a story about the time someone wouldn’t cough up some jewelry that Diddy loaned out. As a result, where did they take her?
Meh. No where special. Just a dilapidated building where she was questioned for 5 days. But don’t worry, no one was hurt. She just had to take a lie detector test.
Oh yeah, and she was told she’d get thrown in East River if they found out it was her who actually took the jewelry.
Now I just wanna say. Sarcasm aside, these are some serious accusations. Just like this entire case has been so far. But especially on the legal side.
And like I mentioned in my last recap, I really don’t think we’re getting the entire story of just how many people should be involved in this RICO charge with Diddy.
What I do think is that Diddy really likens himself to a superhero villain. Like a lot. This is obviously just speculation but he’s always got some hidden agenda. He’s always got a secret inner circle. An elaborate scheme. An odd request tied to some salacious blackmail.
It’s giving Mr. Crocker if he was trying to move up the ranks in Bridgerton. If you don’t fully get the reference that’s okay. I think we can agree, based on all of the allegations we’ve heard so far. This is a diabolical guy.
Mission: Kabloom Kid Cudi (through Capricorn’s eyes)
Moving on, Capricorn also spoke about the Kid Cudi takedown and it basically sounded like the beginning of a GTA mission.
She said Diddy came to her house early in the morning armed with a gun and told her ass to get dressed. Where were they going? Cudi’s crib.
I’d imagine at that point, Diddy’s pacing back and forth still high from the alleged substance we’ve heard about in this case. And Capricorn’s probably standing in front of her bathroom mirror with her heart pumping out of her chest.
Now look, here’s the messy part that I personally really don’t like. Capricorn was managing Cassie at the time. How tf? Well isn’t that odd.
And apparently Capricorn got Cassie a burner phone so Cassie could use it to text her new bae Cudi! Yes. This is her testimony. And honestly, I hate that for her.
So, you mean to tell me that if you’re Capricorn, you knew how crazy Diddy is but you still supplied Cassie with a burner phone knowing that eventually one day Diddy was probably gonna find it.
Help it make sense. On top of that you’re now forced to tag along with Diddy to go to Cudi’s house because Diddy wants to smoke on some Cudi pack (BIG pause).
I don’t understand. Mind you, Diddy allegedly broke into Cudi’s house, ripped up his Christmas gifts like the Grinch who stole Christmas, put the dog in potty jail, and left the Porsche on crispy all while Capricorn was there! She also testified that Diddy told her he was gonna kill Cudi.
Where does that leave us?
I’m honestly not sure. But what I know is that Diddy’s defense team is probably not gonna sleep for a long time. Do you call Capricorn’s testimony speculative like you did Cudi’s? Do you let the testimony stand and try to cross examine her on a later day? Only God Knows.
